Lower back pain causes


Lower back pain is an extremely common disease; in fact, it is so common that 70% of the world population have it at least once in their lifetime. However, most of them, even in developed countries choose having the treatment themselves without meeting the health workers.
Back pain is not only the most common cause of obstructing activities at ages under 45 but also the most common type of chronic pain which is often seen in medical facilities.
The morbidity is significant. Because in the number of the employees who must be off work for more than 6 months, only 50% are lucky enough to go back to work. Similarly, in the number of people who have to stop working in 1 year because of their back pain, only 25 % can return to work. There are 11% of industrial workers have to stay at home for 1 to 6 months, and 4% of them lost ability to work permanently...
Government spending per year for this problem is quite high, of which 1/3 is the cost of health care. Medical factors, the environment, society may participate in the causes of lower back pain.
All causes affecting the parts of the spine can cause back pain, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal muscles stretch, and tear caused by accidents, operations, employees heavy, disc hernia ion, vertebral narrow slit...
On the other hand, back pain is a sign of rare but severe disease like spinal metastatic cancer, spinal cancer, and chronic spinal stuck ... Also back pain can be due to pain in other organs such as the kidneys (nephritis, kidney stones, etc.).
Here is the list of some common factors or diseases, which may lower back pain causes :

  • Respiratory Disease
  • Trauma
  • Pregnancy
  • Sitting too long
  • Dependent posts in an organization. 
  • Dissatisfaction work
  • The short works
  • Driver of the trucks or cars
  • Infants
  • Depression
  • Worried
  • Drink a lot of alcohol
  • Cigarette smoking and coughing
Although the statistics clearly showed the severity and prevalence of this problem, lower back pain is still little understood and in less effective treatment situation.
The diagnosis and treatment strategies are very different and sometimes it is complete contradictory. It is very worth noting that lower back pain is the only medical disease, which most of people ignore its traditional health care and seek for replacement methods and alternative philosophy, which is the procedure affect the spine.
Because there are so many causes of back pain, you should go to the hospital to check your general health blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, CT spinal, kidney ultrasound tests when you have the first symptoms.
After excluding cases of severe back pain due to other causes and in particular, we can treat back pain by methods such as:

  • Do not use the drug: exercise, physically therapy, massage, acupuncture, and ignipuncture.
  • Take medications: painkillers such as Paracetamol, pain reducers or inflammation as Ibuprofens, Diclofenac
  • Surgery: the case of disc herniation, spinal spine trauma or tumor destruction of one or more vertebrae or vertebral degenerative osteoarthritis cause ... need surgery for treatment but the results are often not positive.

  1. Before rushing off to the ER, you might want to try the simple things first. 95% of first back pains resolve on their own. 85% of recurrent back pain resolves on its own.

    First, your back needs a period of rest. A short period of bed rest is in order.

    Second, get some pain relief with an over-the-counter medication.

    Third, place some ice on the areas that hurt.

    Fourth, after the bed rest and pain medicine have begun to give you some pain relief, and as soon as you notice any improvement, get moving.

    Fifth, address muscle spasm with rest, massage, and/or heat.

    Sixth, give your body a chance to heal. Takes 2-12 weeks.

    Seventh, gradually resume normal activities.

    Eighth, gradually strengthen your back. Some exercises will make it better; some will make it worse. Find out which are which. Don't start them, yet. You have a couple weeks to figure out the difference.

    Ninth, eventually increase flexibility once the pain has resolved. Don’t overdo it.
